A FIRE was lit behind Coles Supermarket in Cranbourne West last week.
Between 4.15am and 5.20am last Wednesday, 9 May, a fire was lit inside a cardboard compactor at the rear of the supermarket on the corner of Monahans Road and Duff Street.
The fire damaged internal wires and hoses in the machine.
Police said a group of teenage boys was seen near there at the time and later running down Duff Street.
Any witnesses can call Detective Senior Constable Mick Van Hamond at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
