A FATHER and son are lucky to be alive after a drive-by shooting at their Baxter home on Sunday.
Police said the pair was alone in their Toorak Avenue property when several shots were fired into the front of the house about 11.30pm.
It is believed 10 bullets blasted through the lounge room and front bedroom windows where the 12-year-old boy was asleep.
Shots were also fired into the boot of the 35-year old man’s car, which was parked in an adjoining carport.
Neighbours reported hearing a car speeding from the scene.
Police are investigating.
