A 15-YEAR-old girl got the fright of her life when a man broke into her family’s home in Cranbourne North on Friday night.
The girl was alone in the house using the computer in the lounge room at the Elizabeth Street house.
Police said she heard the back door open about 10.30pm, then heard the glass doors to the room open and saw a man with white gloves and a ski mask.
The man fled straight away.
Police said he had entered the house without a key and warned people to keep their doors locked even when someone was home.
The man was described as 170 to 180 centimetres tall, of thin build and wearing a grey jacket and dark pants or jeans.
Anyone with information should contact Detective Senior Constable Ollie Gaspari at Cranbourne CIU, phone 5995 4577.
