THE City of Casey’s Teenage School Holiday Program attracted more than 250 young people during the September holidays.
The teens enjoyed fun activities including a visit to Werribee Open Range Zoo, a 35-kilometre bike ride and the annual YouthFest.
City of Casey community development manager Janette Green said a highlight of the school holiday program was the day trip to Werribee Open Range Zoo where the kids had a behind-the-scenes tour of the lion enclosures as well as an opportunity to hand feed them.
Another feature of the program was the inaugural YouthFest activity day.
Participants were able to take part in team building games, arts and crafts, milkshake making, a DJ clinic and sports as well as enjoying a barbecue lunch. The next Teenage School Holiday Program will be held in January. For more information or to be put on the Youth Services mailing list phone 9705 5200 or visit www.insideinfo@casey .vic.gov.au.
