Celebrate call

CASEY residents are being encouraged to help celebrate Christmas by attending one of the many events across the city during the festive season.
Some of this year’s Christmas events include:
· Christmas on the Foreshore from 6pm to 10pm on Friday, 15 December at the Tooradin Foreshore.
· Hampton Park Carols by Candlelight from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Friday, 15 December at Hampton Park Shopping Centre.
· Cranbourne Rotary Club’s Carols by Candlelight from 7.30pm on Saturday, 16 December at Casey Fields, Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East.
· Doveton Carols in the Park from 8pm to 10.30pm on Sunday, 17 December at Myuna Farm, Kidds Road, Doveton.
· Casey Carols by Twilight from 6.30pm on Sunday, 24 December at Max Pawsey Reserve, Magid Drive, Narre Warren.
· Christmas Race Day from noon to 5pm on Sunday, 24 December at Cranbourne Racecourse, Grant Street, Cranbourne. Cost is $12 adults and $8 concession.
Casey mayor Colin Butler said local Christmas festivities were a great way to celebrate the year, meet new friends and continue to build strong communities.
“I encourage residents to participate in the many community Christmas events supported by council,” he said.
