THEFTS of copper are on the rise again with a woman seen stealing the precious metal in Lynbrook last week.
The manager at a building near completion on the Aylmer Road site at 1.15pm last Tuesday 28 August saw the woman removing electrical wiring and copper piping from the site.
She put the items in a small blue sedan and quickly drove off as the manager arrived.
The woman was described as about 20 years old, with blonde hair, thin build and wearing blue pants and a dark top.
Police said they would conduct routine inspections at scrap metal yards and second hand dealers.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Senior Constable Tracey Arnold at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
