THE disappearance of a Blind Bight teenager sparked a major police search last week.
Much of the coastal village was blocked off on Wednesday as two police helicopters and a number of ground units spent almost eight hours looking for the 17yearold girl.
Police said they were concerned for the welfare of the girl, who went missing about 2pm.
Resident Bob O’Connell said the streets were packed with locals who joined in the search.
“There was a lot of movement in the town and lots of people were out searching,” he said.
Police located the teenager at about 10.20pm.
