A DANDENONG man was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital after he was stabbed in the thigh.
Police said the 23-year-old man was walking through Cranbourne’s Cherryhills estate and Huntingdale Close at 7.50pm on Sunday on his way to the nearby railway station.
The man told police two men brushed past him and he felt a sharp pain in his thigh.
He then looked down and saw a small knife blade embedded in his leg.
Police said the man went to his girlfriend’s house, where another person removed the blade and called an ambulance.
The man was then airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
