A FIRE at a Cranbourne home last week is being treated as arson.
The Lesdon Avenue home was set ablaze on Friday 14 April between 3am and 4.30am when neighbours woke to hear smashing glass and quickly called 000.
No-one was home at the time of the fire.
Detective Sergeant Larry Grimshaw of Cranbourne CIU said the damage bill was expected to exceed $15,000.
He said the fire had been started in a bedroom on the left-hand side of the house when curtains were set alight.
Det Sgt Grimshaw said a neighbour saw silhouettes of two men outside the home. They later fled the scene in a car.
Anyone with any information about the fire can contact Detective Senior Constable Ollie Gaspari of Cranbourne CIU on 5995 4577 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
