Information sought after rape

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenage girl was raped in Lynbrook on Melbourne Cup Day.
The 17-year-old Seaford girl was walking along the footpath on Banjo Patterson Reserve about 2.15am when she was grabbed from behind and raped.
No description has been given of the offender.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen someone suspicious or heard anything to contact Senior Constable Tracey Arnold at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
