CASEY’S most talented young sports stars are ready to pit their skills against the world’s best.
A junior netball and basketball team from the Life Be In It — Sport For All Casey Complex in Cranbourne will embark on a three-week tour of England early next year to compete at various high schools and sports centres.
The athletes will begin their journey in Manchester before visiting Stockport, Oldham, Bury, Warrington, Chester, York and finishing in London.
Players will be home hosted to families with similar sporting interests and attend school classes to learn more about English culture.
The boys’ basketball team consists of eight players aged between 14 and 15.
Players were selected from various domestic clubs to represent Sport for All in Cranbourne, including Narre Warren, Kings, Saints and Merinda Park.
The girls’ netball team consists of nine players also aged between 14 and 15.
Players were selected from various teams/clubs competing at Cranbourne, including Cranbourne North, Casey District, Scorpions, Gold Eagles, Narre Warren and Hallam.
