A FORMER Cranbourne resident has been extradited from New Zealand over sexual assault charges against six children.
Cranbourne police brought the man, 55, back to Australia last week after he was questioned about matters involving sexual assault offences against children.
Police said the alleged offences had occurred between 2000 and 2003 in the Frankston North area while the man was living in Cranbourne.
He was remanded in custody at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last Friday.
He has been ordered to appear again in court on 4 August for a committal hearing.
