Students tune up their talents

FOUR students at Cranbourne Primary School successfully ran their own ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ show last week.
The four Grade 5 girls decided they wanted to organise a talent quest at the school and persuaded their teacher Greg Parsons to let them run it last Friday.
Welfare coordinator Nicole Watkins said the girls held auditions for the show, then presented the acts in front of the whole school.
“Children from Prep to Grade 6 were able to perform their acts,” she said.
“Some of these included singing, dancing, telling jokes, playing instruments and performing acts.”
Ms Watkins said there were no winners or losers, with all of the 30 acts applauded for their efforts.
“It was something the girls really wanted to do. I think they might have got the idea from the TV show ‘Australia’s Got Talent’,” she said.
The school was also decked in yellow on Friday to celebrate the school’s Organisation Day.
Ms Watkins said this was part of the You Can Do It program.
“The day helped celebrate all the students’ hard work and they then took part in multi-age activities connected with the organisation,” she said.
