Sounds like a test

AS PART of Hearing Awareness Week this week, Cranbourne seniors are encouraged to get a free hearing screening.
Michelle Esparon, district manager at Australian Hearing Pakenham, said hearing loss was more common than people thought and urged locals to get down to Cranbourne, which the organisation visits once a week.
“We encourage locals to get their hearing checked regularly because many people don’t realise they have a hearing loss or that their hearing is deteriorating,” Ms Esparon said.
“Anyone aged over 65 is at high risk of having a loss. But, even younger people often have some deterioration due to exposure to loud noise.
“If you think others are mumbling or you have trouble hearing sounds, like the phone or the doorbell, you should get your hearing checked sooner rather then later.”
Hearing screenings take about 15 minutes and involve people listening and responding to some sounds.
For a free, no obligation hearing screening, call Australian Hearing on 131 797.
