Man stabbed

A CRANBOURNE man was stabbed as he walked home from a local pub on Saturday night.
Police said the 32-year-old man left Kelly’s Hotel at about midnight and was walking home along Hunt Club Drive in Cranbourne East when he was approached by two men at 12.40am on Sunday.
He was knocked to the ground and stabbed in his left upper arm with a knife.
The men then got back in their car and drove off.
The victim, who was believed to be intoxicated at the time, was found by his housemate who went looking for him and found him lying by the side of the road.
The pair went to the Cranbourne Police Station before the man was taken to the Frankston Hospital by ambulance.
Police said the man had since been released from hospital.
Any witnesses should contact Detective Senior Constable Mark Wiederhold at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
