Teen sexually assaulted

AN 18-year-old woman was abducted and sexually assaulted as she walked home through Cranbourne on Friday.
The teenager was walking down the laneway behind the Commonwealth Bank on the east side of High Street about 7.50pm when she was grabbed from behind by a man.
The man forced her back into a dark blue sedan and produced a knife.
Police said the girl began to cry and the man laughed then pushed her from the car.
She ran off and the man fled in the car.
The Sexual Crime Squad is investigating the incident.
Police have warned people to avoid laneways and isolated areas when it was dark.
Any witnesses are urged to contact Detective Sergeant Jason Walsh at the Sexual Crime Squad on 9865 2111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
