Labor ramps up promises

BOATING facilities in Tooradin and Blind Bight will be given a boost if the Labor Government is re-elected this Saturday.
Hastings MP Rosy Buchanan announced upgrades of boat ramps at the two coastal villages on Monday.
Ms Buchanan said the Blind Bight Boat Owners group would receive $20,000 for the construction and installation of a pontoon at the Blind Bight launching ramp, while the Tooradin Foreshore Committee of Management would receive $12,910 for upgrades to the Tooradin foreshore boat ramp.
“It is great to see Western Port boating facilities being further improved,” Ms Buchanan said.
“Boating safety continues to be an important issue for our local community.”
The announcement comes after Premier Steve Bracks visited Tooradin recently to announce Labor’s $44 million recreational fishing and boating policy.
