Fence lit for ninth time

FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a house in Hampton Park to put out a fence fire for the ninth time.
Police said a paling fence was set alight on Branton Crescent around 10.50am last Monday, 20 November, after a fire started in the rear south west corner of the backyard.
They said the fence was easily accessible from the South Gippsland Highway.
Police said it was an ongoing problem, with the CFA called out eight times previously, and that the area was overgrown.
No one was harmed in the incident.
Any witnesses contact Senior Constable Fernando Cartagena at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661.
