AT A surprise dinner at Casey Council on Tuesday night, representatives from the region’s fire brigades were presented with certificates for their outstanding work with the Country Fire Authority (CFA).
Casey mayor Kevin Bradford said their contribution to the CFA was invaluable with both paid officers and volunteers continually risking their lives to keep local residents safe.
Absent on the night were representatives from Hampton Park, Tooradin and Warneet-Blind Bight whose certificates will be presented to them by their ward councillors.
