SCHOOL captains at Hampton Park Primary School were lucky enough to go to the Shrine of Remembrance on Monday to present a wreath.
The school’s vice-captains took over Anzac Day proceedings at the school, with children reading poems, laying flowers and singing Anzac songs.
Some of the children wore army uniforms and medals from their relatives on the day.
Acting principal Connie van der Boort said it was important to the students to understand what happened in the past and what the day meant.
