Police seek pigeon pair

POLICE have released a digital image of one of the men wanted for questioning over an attempted burglary in Devon Meadows recently.
It is believed the owner of a Meadow Road property returned home on Friday 5 August to see a white Toyota tray truck, registration number DKH193, parked in the driveway and two men walking from the back of the house. The owner approached the men and was told they were looking for someone in relation to the sale of pigeons. They then drove off.
The owner discovered the rear door of the house had been forced open but nothing was stolen.
Police have confirmed that the car used in the incident had been stolen from Lilydale the day before.
One man (pictured) was described as being in his mid20s, about 172cm tall, with brown hair, fair complexion, athletic build and wearing a grey Tshirt. The second man was described as being in his early 30s, with black hair, about 175cm tall, unshaven, with olive complexion and of slim build.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Detective Senior Constable Ollie Gaspari at Cranbourne CIU on 5995 4577.

POLICE have charged a Cranbourne woman over a robbery at a Lurline Street bakery last week.
The 23yearold was charged with robbery, theft and assault after allegedly making off with a small amount of cash from Zac’s Bakery early on Monday 8 August.
Police said she was apprehended after residents recognised her picture in the local newspaper.
The woman has been bailed to appear in the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Monday 19 September.

A RIDEON lawn mower was stolen from a property in Tooradin last week.
Police said the owner of the South Gippsland Highway home returned about 8pm on Thursday 11 August to discover the red Alko mower, valued at $6000, had gone. A neighbour later reported witnessing a red Holden station wagon with a large white trailer at the premises on the same day.
Earlier that day a resident reported seeing a man and a woman attempting to steal a motorbike from a neighbouring property on Browns Road in Devon Meadows.
It is believed the pair circled the home at about 2.45pm, knocking on doors, before wheeling a red motorbike out of the garage to a trailer.
The neighbour approached the pair and they returned the bike to the garage and drove away.
The man is described as being in his mid20s, with black hair, unshaven, caucasian, wearing a tanned jacket and jeans.
The woman is described as being in her mid20s, with a long, dark ponytail and wearing a blue lamb’s wool jacket.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Detective Senior Constable Ollie Gaspari at Cranbourne CIU on 5995 4577.
