Nancarrow nails it on a day of great scoring at Lang Lang

LANG LANG GOLF

The course is holding up beautifully despite the rain over recent weeks and even with a mixed bag of weather this week there were good turnouts for the competition rounds.

Members were potentially enticed by the promise of a toasty wood-fire in the clubhouse post-round.

On Saturday 119 players registered for the Par event.

A Grade winner of the day was Rohan Nancarrow on a great score of +7.

Paul Jamieson took out B Grade with +5 and C Grade bragging rights went to Edmund Burgess finishing on -1.

Tuesday A Grade saw Malcolm Davy pipped at the post in a countback on 37 points, with Rod Cameron taking first place.

John Piggot convincingly won B grade with 42 points with Steve Dunn runner up on 38 points.

Wednesday’s overall winner was Russell Swan on 39 points, followed closely by Keith Elliot on 35 points.

Thursday was a chocolate box winter’s day, with Stableford the format of the day.

The overall winners were Robert Field on 40 points and Shane O’Brien on 39 points.

The 2BBB competition was won by Robert Field and Christopher Barton with 48 points.

Sunday was a fairly small field which saw Sean Keuneman rack up an impressive 43 points to be the overall winner.

It was another fabulous week on a great sand belt course.

Congratulations to all the winners.
