COMMUNITY groups in Cranbourne can now apply for funding grants as part of the Hunt Club’s 2005 Community Fund.
Up to $6900 will be available for nonprofit groups, adding to the $52,000 that has already been donated to local organisations over the past four years.
Applications will be judged by a panel of local community leaders, with the final results to be announced in October.
The Hunt Club Estate development manager Terry Dooling said he was proud to offer financial assistance to the local community through the grants program.
“We want to make our community stronger and we can do this by supporting the important work done by local groups and by helping them continue their invaluable work,” he said.
Mr Dooling said the grants were available to notforprofit groups that provide services within the 3977 postcode and have been operating in the local area for at least 12 months.
“We encourage all groups to apply for a grant,” he said.
“We’re keen to reward the invaluable work they’re doing to make our community a better place to live.”
Last year’s recipients include the Cranbourne Girl Guides, Cranbourne Stroke Survivors and Carers Support, Cranbourne Community Theatre and the Rural and Peninsula Disability Support. For more information about the Hunt Club Community Fund call 5996 7088 or visit www.huntclub.com.au.
