Jeffrey leads his team to victory on a ripping day at Lang Lang

What a day for bowls it was, as so many of our family of bowlers from the South West Gippsland Midweek Bowling group turned up at Lang Lang to once again fight it out for team of the week.

We were welcomed as usual by Pauline and John who signed us in.

Peter performed his magic and, somehow, managed to arrange all the players into teams.

The weather was quite mild as we hit the green, with quite low winds making it a bowlers paradise.

Lots of laughter across all the rinks as friend fought with friend to gain superiority.

It is always such a pleasure to play with such a great group of people.

A big shout out to Marianne, who looked after all our thirsty bowlers with help from Colin.

The green was in excellent condition thanks to Neville.

The weekly winners on a score of 33 were Dianne Hessen (L), Sue Stansfield (3), Bill Williams (2), Rob Jeffrey (S)

Runners up on a score of 32 were Gillian Harper (3), Mick Sheers (S), Aggie Gratton (L)

The one game winners on a score of 19 were Elias Capsalis (L), Peter Gratton (S), Max Summers (3)

Thank you to David and John who cleaned up the green after the game.

Also to David for cleaning up the hall after the days fun.

Also to Jenny, Bev and anyone else I may have missed for all their work in the kitchen.

Next week we will be meeting up at Corinella to once again fight it out for team of the week.

Meanwhile, as pennant is in full steam as of this weekend, we wish all players the best of luck for the coming week.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next week, but till then stay safe and have lots of fun.

-Laurie Bell
