STAFF at Blind Bight Community Centre fear many of the facility’s activities may be cancelled if numbers continue to dwindle.
BBCC coordinator Toni McPhail this week called on locals to throw their support behind the centre and sign up to one of its many programs.
“We have so many great activities but people just aren’t aware they are on,” she said.
“Some of our classes have already been cancelled due to a lack of numbers.
“If they continue to drop we may have to cancel more.”
Ms McPhail welcomed suggestions from residents as to what they would like to see offered at the centre.
“We are open for suggestions for new classes, such as fitness, yoga, art and walking groups.
“We would like people as far as Tooradin and Pearcedale to know they are very welcome to come to our centre and we would be pleased to see them.
“Pop in and have a look around,” she said.
Martial arts, drama classes, scrapbooking and gardening continue for term two and the first aid course starts on Wednesday, 26 April.
The Blind Bight Community Centre is open 9am to 4pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 1pm on Friday.
