Girls are going to have fun

CASEY residents have been invited to strengthen the bond with their daughters and take part in either the YouthLinx Dad and Daughter Fun Day or Girls Weekend Away.
City of Casey manager youth and community development Janette Green has encouraged parents and carers of girls aged 11 to 16 to consider participating in either of the programs.
“The Family Challenge Camp for mothers or caregivers and their daughters continues to be a popular program, which is why we are also running a Dad and Daughter Day this year to give fathers or caregivers and their daughters a special opportunity to enhance their relationship,” she said.
Ms Green said the Dad and Daughter Day on Sunday, 23 April involved lots of outdoor activities including two hedge mazes, mini golf, Frisbee and other games at Hedgend Maze in Heales-ville. The total cost is $22 per father and daughter which includes bus transport, lunch and all activities.
The Girls Weekend Away for mothers caregivers and daughters on Saturday, 20 May and Sunday, 21 May, at Manyung Recreation Camp in Mount Eliza features outdoor activities such as ropes courses and canoeing., as well as free time to relax, manicures, facials and a trivia night.
The total cost for this camp is $50 per mother and daughter and includes bus transport, food, accommodation and all activities.
Places are limited and bookings and prepayment is essential.
