Menopause seminar for local women a success

Be Your Best Physiotherapy hosted a critical seminar about menopause and beyond for local women on Wednesday 8 May at Balla Balla Community Centre in Clyde North.

Continence and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist Michelle Crowther was joined by Angela Scanlon from Evergreen Psychology and Megan D’Atri from Physioworks to share their expertise in managing the physical and mental changes during and beyond menopause.

The afternoon tea following the seminar allowed everyone to share their experiences and positive feedback was received about the event.

The free seminar attracted over 60 registrations and special guests included South Easter Metropolitan Region MP Ann-Marie Hermans who supported the event and chatted to many women about their journey.

Ms Crowther said she was thrilled to see so many women investing time in their health.

“Sometimes as women, we can prioritise others first and put our own health needs last,” she said.

“We had noticed an increasing number of women experiencing the challenges of menopause on their physical and mental health and were motivated to host this free seminar to provide information, education, and support.”
