Alleged road-rage incident in Cranbourne

Police are investigating an alleged road-rage collision in Cranbourne on Saturday 10 February.

A motorcyclist and a driver of a blue Audi Sedan ran into a dispute on Thompsons Road in Cranbourne at about 7.50pm.

It is alleged the motorcycle rider pulled up alongside the Audi and punched the mirror of the vehicle before continuing ahead.

It is alleged the Audi has then accelerated into the motorcycle, resulting in the rider being thrown from their bike and colliding with a vehicle travelling in the other direction.

The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old Cranbourne East man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, a 21-year-old Clyde North man stopped after the collision.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or the lead-up, has CCTV or dashcam footage, or any other information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
