GREENIES can now apply for Federal Government funding for on-ground natural resource management projects.
Flinders MP Greg Hunt encouraged community groups and individuals in Casey to apply for grants of up to $50,000 from the Australian Government Envirofund.
Mr Hunt said round eight of the $20 million Envirofund is open for applications.
“The types of projects typically funded include planting native vegetation, fencing to protect habitat for native species, and weeding on public land, like local reserves or beaches.”
Mr Hunt said the key aim of Envirofund was to improve natural resource management, both for public and private land.
Round eight of the Envirofund is now open for applications, which close at 5pm on Friday 28 April.
