Big Top sites in demand

THE City of Casey is calling for land owners with at least an 8000 square metre (two acre) site to contact them if they would like their land to be considered as a circus site for travelling performances.
Flooding and other issues have previously hindered travelling performances from making the most of Casey, and mayor Neil Lucas said it is important that Casey families have the opportunity to easily access a visiting circus when it comes to town.
“It is a continuous challenge for circuses to find suitable venues in metropolitan areas,” he said.
“Compiling a list of sites that a circus can occupy on an annual basis, for periods of four weeks or more, is part of council’s commitment to ensuring that Casey continues to be a circusfriendly city.”
For all inquiries regarding any potential available sites, contact Casey’s planning liaison officer Gavin Wilson on 9705 5200.
