Ingram clear of the chasing pack

With Club Championships only just around the corner a very strong field of 155 players faced the starter at Lang Lang Golf Club on Saturday to fine-tune their games in sunny but windy conditions.

One player who will head into the opening round on Saturday 11 November is Jack Ingram, who scored a three-shot win in Division 1 with a great score of 41 points.

Runner up was Rick Pearce with 38 points and third was Rod Cameron with 36 points.

In Division 2, the winner was Rodney Marshall with 39 points from runner up Noel Zunneberg with 38 points by countback.

Third place went to Brian ‘Worm’ Webster.

In Division 3, the winner was Andrew Poxon with 37 points from runner up David Preston with 35 points by countback.

Third place went to Craig Mirtschin and ball rundown went to 33 points.

Nearest the pins went to 5th Wayne Kennedy, 9th Andrew Poxon, 12th Frankie Chiu and 15th Paul De Pasquale.

Third hole second shots: (0-18) Daniel Cameron; (19+) Fia TooToo.

• Tuesday Stableford – Field of 72

Division 1: Winner: Roger Parker 37 points. Runner Up: Daryl Barker 36 points.

Division 2: Winner: Steve Clark 38 points. Runner Up: Aaron Tulau 37 points.

Ball rundown to 34 points.

Nearest the pins went to 5th Daryl Barker, 9th Roger Parker, 12th Bill Merrigan and 15th Michael Fahey.

• Wednesday Ladies Stableford

Winner: Jennifer Sullivan 36 points. Runner Up: Leah Barker 34 points.

Ball rundown to 29 points.

Nearest the pins went to 9th Leah Barker and 15th Jennifer Sullivan.

• Thursday Par – Field of 58

Division 1: Winner: Daryl Barker with +5. Runner up: Frankie Chiu with +2.

Division 2: Winner: Mark Ando with +3. Runner up: Russell Swan with -1.

Nearest the pins went to 5th David Wylie, 9th Bart McDonald, 12th Paul L Moore and 15th Robert Walker.

Club Championships will be commencing on Saturday 11 November, the first of three rounds.
