There were smiles all-round at Lang Lang Golf Club on Saturday with glorious sunshine adding to an already picturesque backdrop as players competed in a stableford competition.

The best score for the day came in Division 3 with Peter Barber giving the field a trim with a great score of 41 points.

Runner up was Randell Smith with 39 points and Dennis Barnett was third with 37 points.

Division 1: Winner: Troy Harrison with 40 points. Runner Up: Paul Christensen with 36 points.

Third: Brenton Adams with 35 points.

Division 2: Winner: Mark Owen with 38 points by countback. Runner Up: David Marotta. Third: Chris Pearce with 37 points.

Ball rundown to 31 points.

Nearest the pins: 5th Chris Pearce, 9th Shaun Mays, 12th Jackson McInnes, 15th Richard Briggs.

Third Hole second shot; Trevor Robinson (Div 1), Mitchell Adderley (Div 2).

• Tuesday Stableford

Division 1: Winner: Ev Allaway with 42 points. Runner Up: Alec Hamilton with 36 points.

Division 2: Winner: Lionel Mahoney with 35 points by countback. Runner Up: Patrick Farrell.

• Wednesday Ladies Stableford

Winner: Leah Barker with 33 points. Runner up: Lee Andrews with 32 points.

• Thursday Midweek Medal/Stableford

Division 1: Winner: Casey Farquharson with 37 points. Runner up: Col Maclean with 36 points.

Division 2: Winner: Mark Ando with 41 points. Runner up: Peter Moore with 37 points.

Ball rundown to 33 points.

Nearest the pins: 5th Rob Volk, 9th Dave Austin, 12th Rod Cameron, 15th Guy Jones.

Upcoming this week we have a Stableford/2BBB competition on Thursday and the Monthly Medal will be played on Saturday, plus the usual weekly comps on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The course is in great order considering the time of year and the weather we have had.
