Burgess the best in JH Gray Final

It was another huge week at Lang Lang Golf Club beginning with Easter Monday and ending with the final of the JH Gray event on Saturday.

Congratulations to Laurie Burgess for taking out the JH Gray Final and also to Darren Chatfield for being runner up.

• Easter Monday: Stableford

The winner was Ben Hussey with 42 points from the unlucky runner up in Bradley Tanner with 41 points. Ball rundown to 36 points.

• Tuesday: Stableford

The Division 1 winner was Shaun Petherick with 40 points on a countback to runner up Alex Doria.

The Division 2 winner was Brian Tollkuhn with 35 points on a countback to runner up Nick Dryden. Ball rundown to 33 points.

Nearest the pins went to 5th Simon Vigilante, 9th Russell Swan, 12th Shaun Petherick and 15th Chris Clark.

Wednesday: Ladies Par Comp

The day’s play was called off due to weather conditions.

• Thursday: Stableford/2BBB

The 2BBB winners were Trevor Cridland and James Hendrick with 44 points from runners up Graeme Ottosen and Steve Clark with 43 points.

Stableford winners were James Doria with 37 points, one clear of runner up Graeme Ottosen with 36 points by countback. Ball rundown to 32 points.

Nearest the pins went to 5th Daryl Barker, 9th Brian Tollkuhn, 12th Ralph Hendrich and 15th Noel Bradford.

• Saturday: Par

The Division 1 winner Troy Harrison with +5, from runner Up Peter Campbell with +4 and third placegetter Matthew Skinner with +1.

The Division 2 winner Rena Casey with +3, from runner up James Hendrick with +2 and third placegetter Benjamin Rawlings with +1.

The Division 3 winner was Kimberly Pellatt with +3 by countback to runner up Dylan Bradshaw and third placegetter Lee Andrews with +2. Ball rundown to +1.

Lang Lang will have its usual competitions running on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday this week, plus a Stableford Comp from midday on ANZAC Day.

Congratulations to all winners this week, with some tricky weather conditions to contend with.
