Heppleston handles the heat

The South West Gippsland Midweek Bowling group headed to Corinella last week with 23 bowlers keen to make their mark and be part of the weekly winning team.

The green was in magnificent condition, the temperature was extremely comfortable and the wind was quite gusting, which made it a great day even though very challenging.

Once again there was lots of laughter and friendly banter across the greens…this is always a joy to see and hear each week.

Today’s scores were not too high, because the opposition was very good and hence there were no two-game winners.

The weekly winners, on 28 points, were Tony Heppleston (S), Luke Monckton (3), Enid Johnson (2) and Shirley Corcoran (L).

Runners up on 23 points were Mark Andreatta (S), Robyn Coulson (3), Chris Coulson (2) and Frank d’Unienville (L).

And the best One-Game winners, on 18 points, were Michael Dady (S), David Talbot (3), Pauline McWilliams (2) and Chris Brooks (L).

Many thanks to Terry for all his hard work both behind the bar as well as in the kitchen.

As always, thank you to Peter and Pauline for all their hard work behind the scenes and also on site each week.

Next week we will be at San Remo and we look forward to another great day with all our friends.

Please be on site by 10am for registration, with a 10.30am start.
