Cranbourne’s growing population will soon have closer respondents for their emergencies.

Construction will start on a new SES unit in Cranbourne, with completion of the building set for the end of the year.

“We’re ensuring that VICSES volunteers are equipped with the resources they need to keep our growing Cranbourne population safe,” said Cranbourne MP Pauline Richards.

“This new unit will serve our existing volunteers well and attract more people to take on a rewarding experience as a VICSES volunteer.”

The City of Casey is currently serviced by the VICSES Narre Warren Unit which responded to 1352 requests for assistance in the past 12 months.

The new VICSES Cranbourne Unit will reflect VICSES’ commitment and dedication to the local community and enable an expansion of local services, while supporting the retention and recruitment of new volunteers.

The project is being managed by the Community Safety Building Authority within the Department of Justice and Community Safety.

The new unit site is located on the corner of Cranbourne-Frankston Road and Ballarto Road, Cranbourne.
