Lang Lang Cricket Club has paid a special honour to two of its great champions at its premiership reunion and past players day at its flash new facility at Caldermeade on Saturday.
Each year Lang Lang will name an end of the ground after people who have left a lasting legacy on the club.
The inaugural recipients are John Williams and Ken Mynard.
John Williams is an outstanding contributor to the Lang Lang Cricket Club.
He played in the 1967-68 and 1968-69 premierships, was president for four seasons, coached junior teams, and was A Grade captain for two seasons.
Ken Mynard is also a wonderful contributor for the club.
Ken played in the 1967-68 and 1968-69 A Grade premierships.
He is a former president, secretary and was named best club person three times in his time with the club.
Ken embodies the true spirit of the Lang Lang Cricket Club.
Many players from the glory days of Lang Lang were on hand on Saturday to enjoy the celebrations.
