Getting back to business

The Pearcedale Public Hall will host the return of the Pearcedale Market on the morning of Saturday 19 March.

The market will offer an array of local products, from fresh produce and crafts to second-hand books, providing a platform for potential entrepreneurs in the region with an eye to expanding their business operations.

It was previously held at the Pearcedale Community Centre but has been forced to relocate due to renovations at the venue.

Market committee member Sharon Mitchell said she was very excited to have the market back after a “very frustrating” couple of years caused by the pandemic.

“It was heartbreaking having to ring everyone up and say ‘we’re not doing it again’,” Ms Mitchell said, reflecting on the numerous cancellations in recent years.

“We’ve lost a few stallholders but I’m sure we’ll gain some more.

“As long as the community supports the market, we’ll be okay.”

The Pearcedale Public Hall is located at 45 Pearcedale Road, near the corner of Queens Road.

Anyone interested in attending the market or holding a stall should contact Sharon Mitchell on 0418532620, or RSVP to the Facebook event, facebook.com/events/1373848543084642?active_tab=about
