Police brief: Driver tests positive to methylamphetamine

A disqualified driver in Cranbourne North returned a positive result to methylamphetamine on a preliminary oral fluid drug test when intercepted by Highway Patrol High-Risk Driving officers last week.

The 27-year-old woman claimed that she was out to wash her car in the early hours of Thursday morning, 17 February.

Her vehicle was impounded at a cost of $1038 and she is expected to be charged on summons for Drive whilst disqualified, Fail oral fluid drug test and Breach adjourned undertaking to be of good behaviour.
