Operation Chance catches drink drivers

Two Cranbourne men were caught drink driving as part of a Operation Chance, which was conducted on Friday 10 December.

Cranbourne police officers intercepted an unregistered blue Mitsubishi Triton in Cranbourne West about 7pm.

The driver, a 33-year-old Cranbourne man, was unlicensed.

He was interviewed and his vehicle was impounded.

Cranbourne police officers then observed a red Toyota Land Cruiser wagon driving 13 km/h over the limit in Cranbourne North at about 11.40pm.

The unaccompanied learner driver, a 22-year-old man, recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.58.

The Cranbourne East man is expected to be charged on summons with driving offences.
