Santa Run back on

The Cranbourne Fire Brigade 2021 Santa run is going ahead this year and all members of the community are invited.

Cranbourne CFA will visit multiple parks and playgrounds in Cranbourne and Hampton Park, with a Santa sack full of lollies for the local children.

Santa will arrive on the fire truck and will attend each location for approximately 20 minutes.

Cranbourne CFA firefighter Zoe Russell said the brigade could not wait for this year’s Santa run.

“We have teamed up with with Hampton Park CFA and Devon Meadows CFA to make it that extra bit special,” she said.

“Usually when we have events we struggle to get crews to join in but this year everyone is wanting to do it because we haven’t really had a chance to do many community events.

“We were lucky enough to run one last year and this year’s will be similar.”

Ms Russell said CFA will endeavour to arrive on time and asked local residents to remain patient.

Due to Covid-19, children will not be permitted on the fire truck but photos will be taken beside the vehicles.

Members of the public have been asked to wear a mask when social distancing cannot be met, and to use sanitiser if they wish to see Santa up close or for photographs.

Sanitiser will be provided at each location.

There will also be a QR code available to scan upon CFA’s arrival.

For the full list of locations included in the Santa run, follow the Cranbourne Fire Brigade Facebook Page.
