A Lynbrook woman is starting summer with a self-care trip to a spa retreat after scoring division one in the weekend’s Super 66 draw.
She held the only division one winning entry in Super 66 draw 4209 on 20 November, pocketing $21,563.
Sharing her shock with an official from The Lott, the merry woman explained she checked her ticket over the weekend.
“Woohoo! I found out on Saturday night while watching TV,” she said.
“Every-time my family and I purchase an entry into a lottery game, we have this ritual of telling each other how we went in a group chat after the draw.
“As a joke, my sister sent me a message saying she was ‘crying in the corner’ because she didn’t win. I expected the same result, but no, I’d won division one
“We were over the moon! We couldn’t believe it.”
So far in 2021, there have been 24 division one winning entries in the south-east Melbourne region, collectively worth more than $41.48 million.
The Lynbrook woman said she only started playing Super 66 draws recently.
“I usually give Set for Life or Powerball a go, I decided to mix things up,” she said.
“I’d really love to do a spa retreat with the prize! I’ve been wanting to do one for a while. “I’ll probably fix my garden as well. Maybe take a small trip around Australia.
“It’s a very nice surprise.”
The winning 35-game QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com.
