Remembrance service cancelled

Cranbourne’s Remembrance Day service has been cancelled this year due to Covid restrictions, according to the Dandenong Cranbourne RSL.

RSL members will however lay a wreath at the High Street cenotaph at the customary time 11am on Thursday 11 November.

Members of the public are also welcome to lay wreathes in a mark of respect to Australia’s fallen during wartime service.

RSL sub-branch secretary Barry Rogers said the service could not be held due to Covid protocols such as QR codes and barriers having to be organised at short notice.
