Gone in a snap

By Bridget Cook
POLICE are seeking public assistance to identify a man they wish to speak to in relation to the theft of a camera from a Dick Smith store in Cranbourne last year.
On Friday 28 October at about 3.30pm a man entered the store, located in the Cranbourne Centro shopping centre. Police said it was alleged that the man removed his blue and yellow visibility vest, wrapped it around his hand and broke a cabinet panel.
According to police, he then left the shop, but returned 10 minutes later carrying a black bag and gloves and took a camera from the damaged cabinet.
The man was described as being about 180cm, mid-thirties, medium to solid build, olive complexion with short dark hair, a scar or mark on his left cheek and he walked with a limp.
Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them. Anyone with information is asked to contact 1800 333 000.
