Growing strong

CRANBOURNE North and West are among Victoria’s top 20 annual growth suburbs, according to a Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) list.
Cranbourne North came in at number 10, and residents enjoyed a median price rise of eight per cent, from $324,000 to $350,000. Cranbourne West just made it into the list, coming in at 19, with a median price rise of 5.6 per cent, from $303,500 to $320,600.
City of Casey Mayfield Ward councillor Kevin Bradford praised Cranbourne for its many amenities, but said there was still room for improvement.
“Cranbourne is a fantastic suburb with great assets including the new Cranbourne pool, Casey Fields, the Cranbourne Racecourse, good quality schooling and shopping with an increasingly diverse level of housing to meet various family types,” Cr Bradford said.
“The only issue holding back making Cranbourne a complete suburb is a lack of public transport and road infrastructure which is why the State Government must invest more into this growing area.”
