KEEP the kids entertained this school holidays at a free family fun day in Cranbourne tomorrow.
South East Water, in partnership with the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne and the City of Casey, will host the family day at the gardens from 10am to 5pm on Friday 20 January.
There will be plenty on offer to keep people of all ages entertained including a live band, free barbecue, activities for the kids and gardening advice.
South East Water’s acting general manager of customer and community Katrina Jones encouraged the local community to come along to the annual family fun day to experience the beauty of the local botanical gardens and learn how to turn their backyards into a garden paradise this summer.
“For the kids, there will be free games, face painting and a sausage sizzle while their parents can enjoy learning about sustainable gardening and how they can keep their garden looking blooming marvellous under the new Stage 1 water restrictions,” she said.
“South East Water puts the community front and centre in the work that we do.
We see the Family Fun Day as a chance for families to enjoy the beauty of the Botanical Gardens while picking up useful hints about water efficiency and sustainable living.
Ms Jones said they expected a terrific turnout, with almost 2000 people from the local community attending last year’s event.
The Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne is located at the corner of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne.
