A HAMPTON Park retirement village had more than one reason to celebrate in December.
As well as celebrating the festive season, the Hampton Heath Retirement Village also marked its 20th birthday on 20 December.
About 70 people attended the milestone birthday celebration, including City of Casey Mayor Sam Aziz, councillor Lynette Keleher, head office management from AVEO Melbourne and residents and long standing service providers to the village.
The event included light refreshments and finger food, as well as a local entertainer providing music within the village community centre.
Hampton Heath was one of the first retirement villages in Victoria under the AVEO company banner.
Village sales manager Manny Vella said the event was brought to light by the residents.
“They felt it was a great opportunity to have recognised the contribution the village has made to the hundreds of residents that have made their homes there,” he said.
“The residents were very excited as Hampton Heath is a relatively quiet village only comprising of 53 independent living units, so it was the residents’ chance to have an event which helped showcase their village and bring a sense of pride throughout the village.”
