Hampton Park Primary School threw open its doors to its parent community during Education Week to show and tell parents what their students can do.
On Wednesday 26 May the school held an Open Afternoon where parents and families were invited to see some special activities performed by students.
A spokesperson for the school said the Open Afternoon was “an opportunity for the school to showcase building connections with the community around us and the wonderful learning programs we have in place.”
She said visitors took part in chess challenges, STEM activities and science experiments, with the interactive robotics and PE displays proving popular.
“Our families also enjoyed the art and culture of Chinese calligraphy by learning basic calligraphy strokes,” she said.
“Families and friends were able to gain an insight into their children’s learning and more importantly the students enjoyed sharing their learning with them.”
