Police intercepted a Toyota Prado on Clyde-Five Ways Road in Clyde after observing it swerving across the lanes and failing to indicate.
The intercept was made at around 1am on Sunday 13 June.
The 35-year-old driver from Pakenham returned a positive breath test and a subsequent evidentiary test of 0.196.
His licence was immediately suspended for 12 months and he will receive a summons to attend a Magistrates Court at a later date.
