Eagles come flocking back

Cranbourne returns to big-time competition football for the first time since 2019 when the Eagles head to Woori Yallock on Saturday for a huge clash against the Tigers.

A world-wide pandemic stopped football in its tracks last year leaving players, coaches and supporters looking forward to season 2021 like no other.

And the Eagles have extra reason to salivate this year with the return of some club champions set to bolster the club’s AFL Outer East Premier Division campaign.

The Eagles welcome back one of their greatest-ever players with champion full-forward Marc Holt kicking over 1000 goals for the club before making the switch to Karingal, in the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football league (MPNFL) for the 2019 season.

But the great man is back and ready to kick six-pointers for fun as he has done throughout his extraordinary career.

The Eagles also welcome back the experience of midfielders Max Gearon, Curtis Barker and Ryan Davey, while strong-marking forward Troy Tharle makes his return in a major positive for the club.

The big game between the eagles and Tigers kicks off at 4pm at the Woori Yallock Football Ground.
