Upgrade works in Devon Meadows

Safety improvement works are continuing on Baxter-Tooradin Road in Devon Meadows between Fisheries Road and Warneet Road.

One eastbound lane remains closed with speed restrictions in place. The lane closure is expected to be in place until the end of August.

The Department of Transport has advised that eastbound traffic can use Fisheries Road and North Road to access the South Gippsland Highway.

“To ensure the safety of all road users while the detour is in place, all traffic from North Road onto the South Gippsland Highway will need to turn left,” the Department said.

“Traffic wanting to turn right can firstly turn left onto the South Gippsland Highway and then U-turn approximately 600 metres further along the highway.

“Drivers should pay attention to changed traffic conditions and workers on site, plan ahead and allow extra travel time.”
